Creating Requests
Learn how to create and manage requests.
Quick Add
Use Quick Add to create a request (or issue) from anywhere.
- Open Quick Add
- Choose a project
- Enter a title (and optional description)
- Optionally set Due Date
- Optionally set a Recurring schedule (for repeating work)
From the Dashboard
- Click New Request button
- Select a project
- Enter title and description
- Set priority and due date (optional)
- Assign to a team member
From the Client Portal
Clients can submit requests directly:
- Client logs into their portal
- Selects the project
- Fills out the request form
- Request appears in your inbox
Via Email
With email inbound configured:
- Client sends email to your project address
- Email automatically creates a request
- Attachments are preserved
- Reply threads sync to comments
Via Slack
Using the Slack integration:
/clienwork request "Fix homepage banner" --project acme-corp
Request Fields

- Include context in the description
